101 reasons to knit Jaywalkers.

Spring came to Maine. I think this time it is definite. The temperature can still be chilly as I realized yesterday when I tried to knit outside and my hands were freezing, but the trees are budding and you can see daffodils and crocuses everywhere.

The project I was working among all those gorgeous flowers is nothing else than my first pair of Jaywalkers. I am not a huge sock knitter, but there are just some patterns you can`t ignore for too long. Besides I
wanted to cast on something new found myself in great need of a small and easy portable project. Actually, the true reason is that I wanted to have a picture of socks in my new progress tracker in the sidebar. And that last week I felted
one of the very few socks I made for myself.

I am using Sportivo, a Czech sock yarn I got for Christmas from my mum and I love how the colorway knits up.
While outside, I took couple pictures of my Rebecca Mohair Cardi that I finished in February, way to early to make any outside pictures in this fluffy nothing.

This cardi came out all right but I can tell it is not going to become the most used thing I ever made. I made it considerably longer and I am glad I did but I wish I made the front pieces larger so they overlap more. Right now I can`t think of anything to wear under this wrap. It looks really cute on the model who is wearing a summer sleeveless dress but guess how many summer dresses that match purple color do I have? Maybe I just need to find some basic black tank tops. However, I really like
Jo Sharp Rare Comfort Kid Mohair and I enjoyed working with it. It is not itchy, does not split and the knitting went really fast. I was also pleasantly surprised I only needed 5 skeins for the whole project including the ties which ate up a whole skein.
